Allan Davies & Trevor Chudleigh Architects is a multi-award winning Perth based architectural firm which specialises in energy efficient custom designed homes and additions that are sustainable, comfortable, and simply beautiful to live in.
Although the Principals have worked together since 1990, the current practice was established in 2004. We specialise in individually designed new homes and additions, framed constructions, and designs for homes in the Perth hills and other challenging construction sites throughout WA. We also undertake a number of commercial projects in Perth each year ranging from modest additions to prominent new builds and large additions to non-residential buildings.

The Allan Davies & Trevor Chudleigh Architects team leads the way in passive solar designs in Perth. We are proud to have received multiple solar energy awards, including the WA Energy Efficient Home of the Year award and the coveted Australian Home of the Year award. Our interest in passive solar and sustainable design began a long time ago, before it was fashionable to use as a marketing tool, when only a few architects and designers were interested in the benefits of harnessing the natural elements of our climate.
We offer our clients individuality and develop a strong rapport with our clients to deliver outstanding projects through good communication, including constant project reviews. Our practice is able to provide valuable advice based on our experience, enabling us to work through unique and sometimes complex challenges with our clients to deliver the correct design with good environmental outcomes.

We are committed to energy efficiency by employing passive solar design principles to maximise thermal performance and minimise the use of artificial heating and cooling by harnessing the natural elements of each site.
Our environmentally friendly homes are designed to respect and enhance the surrounding landscape and help connect the home’s occupants with the natural environment. By taking into consideration a home’s orientation, placement of windows, sun angles, and roof overhangs, we can greatly decrease the need for mechanical heating and cooling systems and greatly reduce reliance on artificial temperature control systems.
