Gooseberry Hill Residence

Located on a secluded north facing slope overlooking the Helena Valley, this residence was designed on a steep slope to provide the main residence at the same level as the carport to allow the retiring owners level access for the future. The undercroft area was utilised for a garage and secure storage under this framed constructed house.

To enclose the underside of the framed structure and provide protection from bushfire access under the house, we enclosed the base with a masonry, non-structural dado wall. Utilising the Outdoor Room as the external transition space between the pool and residence allows restricted but direct access to the pool terrace using our Outdoor Room decorative security screens in combination with a self-closing and self-latching security gate to Pool Safety Standards.
