Kalamunda residence (Owner-Builder)

This challenging site was purchased a number of years ago and the owners have started construction, which is expected to take at least quite a few years due to most of the work being done by the owner-builders.

Although a challenging site, with careful design, this residence will have an outlook down the valley to the flood plain, fantastic solar passive orientation to the north, and an idyllic and quiet bush setting for the owners to live in.

After the masonry retaining wall is complete the new house will be a combination of jarrah jetty timber framing and treated pine framed construction.
